Arup’s data center and mission-critical specialists are innovators in technological facilities, working with some of the most complex and data-driven companies, to meet today’s data needs.We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on mission-critical facilities to join our growing Science, Industry and Technology Building Services Engineering team in Milan.
Our Mechanical Engineers work in an interdisciplinary environment aiming to design buildings that maximise value for our clients whilst minimising their environmental impact.As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:Act as a key part of the Building Services Engineering Senior Team, leading multidisciplinary projects while providing technical guidance and mentoring to the other mechanical engineers.
Act as project lead engineer in managing the service and in having a direct interface with the clients’ team.
Liaise with clients to assist in setting the design ambitions and with the project stakeholders to develop the design and the coordination of the mechanical requirements and their impact on the project.Is this role right for you?If you have a passion for design and an enthusiasm for architecture and sustainable building design, Arup is the place for you. In your leadership role you are expected to have the following qualifications and experience:Sound knowledge in mechanical engineering fundamentals .
Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Building/Energy Engineering.
Ability to technically lead and manage the design process from conceptual layout to detailed design and construction.
Experience with Data Center and or Industrial buildings projects.
At least 10 years’ experience in the design of mechanical systems.
Experience of working within a BIM environment using Revit with knowledge of parametric design is beneficial.
Knowledge of both English and Italian, written and spoken.
Good communication skills essential for team-based working.
Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.
