We are looking for an experienced Java developer for an existing DevOps team working in the WVP-DC domain (Wet verbeterde premieregeling – Directe Contributie or Improved Contribution Scheme Act – Direct Contribution).This is an area where there is currently a lot of change, that is being supported by the implementation of new technologies.Our client in the Netherlands strives to simplify pensions.Therefore, they are digitizing at a rapid pace with a view to providing millions of Dutch citizens, and thousands of employers with a quick and understandable insight into their pension situation.As a DevOps engineer you test innovative applications and take existing applications to an ever[1]higher level.As a test specialist you are involved at an early stage in the development of desired functionality. In this way you make an important contribution to the development of our (increasingly more frequent) cloud-based pension platform.Because of the intrinsic importance, we focus on high quality and user experience. Location Groningen, Netherlands (must be eligible to work in the EU) Duration full-time; 32 – 40 hours / hybrid working, at least 1 to 2 days a week Groningen 6 – 12 months Experience 6+ years’ relevant experience The role Together with your team you are responsible for developing and managing the services within a DevOps team. All teams work according to the scrum method.The processes for the pension propositions are developed in the WVP[1]DC domain, a domain where there is a lot of movement on a functional level as well a lot of work to be done on a technological level in the coming period. In this position we expect you to:

• Translate user wishes into the best technical solutions;

• Build and manage back-end Java services and improve the build process;

• Build Angular applications – we work with the latest version;

• Bringing together different aspects of a project – requirements, coaching, implementation and quality assurance – into a working product;

• Have a T-shaped profile, in which, in addition to your tasks as a developer, other activities can also be picked up within the team;

• Prioritize projects together with your team and the product owner. Advanced level English is a must, good Dutch also preferred. Expertise

• Object-oriented modelling, Domain Driven Design, CI/CD and pipelines, JPA (or Hibernate);

• In-depth knowledge of Java (8+), Git, Kafka, Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Core;

• Experience with Angular, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Python

• Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress and Cucumber a plus.
