- Senior IT Technician
- Working in Secondary School
- Responsible for the day-to-day direction, supervision, organisation and support of the school’s IT systems and services
- Maintains and operates the school’s audio-visual and multimedia systems
- Maintains detailed schedules, lists, diagrams and documentation for all systems
- Ensures that equipment asset registers are up-to-date and accurate
- Investigates, recommends, procures and implements appropriate technologies and solutions
- Undertakes installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and upgrade of all hardware and software systems
- Salary £30,033 – £35,577 per annum (depending on experience), 35 hours per week
- Permanent role – ASAP start
Ideal Candidate – Senior IT Technician
- A relevant qualification in IT with a focus on hardware, software and systems support at BTEC Level 3 or above (or equivalent) awarded at Merit or above (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A team player with the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to use own initiative to priorities tasks
- Ability to work under pressure
- To be able to understand the importance of confidentiality
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills and attend relevant training both on and off the job
- Ability to organise, plan and prioritise time effectively
- Flexibility, adaptability and creativity
