Senior IT BSS Specialist

Role purpose: 

The IT Senior BSS Specialist within the “VBI Sales channel” team plays a crucial role in the design, implementation, and optimization of IT systems supporting the sales processes for Enterprise segment products. The role demands technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective collaboration with both IT teams and Business stakeholders.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• End-to-End Project Management: From refining business requirements/objectives to delivery,the role involves monitoring project progress, overseeing developments

delegated to external vendors,ensuring adherence to objectives,deadlines, and quality standards.

• Effective communication with all stakeholders: Clear and effective communication with external suppliers and internal parties involved, ensuring mutual

understanding of the Project’s objectives and expectations.

• Collaboration: The ability to collaborate and work effectively in cross-functional teams is essential for an IT Senior Specialist. He/she must be able to foster a positive and productive working relationship with colleagues from different departments, such as operations, marketing, finance etc etc
• Change Control & Budget and Cost Management: Managing the change control process evaluating change requests, assessing their impact, and making decisions on whether to

approve or reject changes. Making decisions on resource allocation and cost optimization to ensure the program remains within budget.

• Compliance and Security: Ensure that all IT solutions developed externally comply with industry regulations, standards, and internal policies

Required competencies, knowledge, and experience:

• Industry Experience: significant experience in managing small and largescale projects, including process reengineering projects or digital transformation initiatives in the telecommunications sector.
• Architecture/Design and System Integration: in-depth knowledge of IT architecture principles, frameworks, and design models. Experience in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. Proficiency in integrating complex systems, both on-premises and Cloud-based, using middleware, APIs, and service-oriented architectures

(SOA). Knowledge of tools and techniques for integrating enterprise applications

Nice to have have technical /professional qualifications: 

• IT Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFE, Waterfall) and tools. 
• Problem-solving: IT Senior Specialist needs strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions. 

He/she should be able to approach problems with a logical and analytical mindset, leveraging their technical knowledge and expertise to find innovative and

effectiveness solutions.

• Adaptability: An IT Senior Specialist should be open to change, able to quickly learn and adapt to new methodologies, and industry trends. 

He/she should be flexible to navigate in a rapidly evolving environment.
