Job Overview:

The Senior HSES Specialist uses best practices to solve complex HSES-related problems and uses discipline-specific knowledge to improve HSES Performance. They will act with a considerable degree of autonomy and have the ability to balance a field-based position and business administrative duties. They are comfortable working in a dynamic environment and will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the HSES discipline.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Control of site Permit to Work system, coordination of document flow between subcontractors and site management

  • SIMOPS coordination at the construction site (Permit to Work system)

  • Perform HSE trainings for subcontractors (liaison officer) as per Company training matrix

  • HSE coordination of shore station construction and commissioning activities under the direction of the site HSE Advisor

  • Clarifies safety related issues with all contractors and their subcontractors prior to the start of their work (work procedures, work flow, verifications, test certificates, storage and disposal)

  • Organizes the cooperation of employers regarding health and safety issues, carries out briefings on the construction site regulations

  • Prepares briefing forms, lessons learned, emergency call lists, warning signs for posting, first responder lists, etc.

  • Participates in site meetings

  • Part of ERT team on site

  • Reporting of incidents and accidents

  • Coordinate with local authorities as required

  • Routine HSE audits and inspections

Essential Qualification and Education:

  • Hold an BSc in Engineering or HSE science

  • Native German speaking and professionally proficient in English

  • SiBa is minimum required (minimum 3 Years Experience in Construction sides)

  • SiFa + SiGeKo will be an advantage

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in construction and/or commissioning of similar energy project e.g., power plants, HV onshore stations, generator stations or equivalent

  • Previous experience of high voltage electrical systems will be an advantage

  • Previous experience in Permit to Work system, Electrical Isolations (LOTO)

  • Behavioural Based Safety Training and/or experience in Behavioural Safety programs would be an advantage

  • Driving License A or/and B is mandatory
