Job Title: Senior HR Advisor
Location: Warlingham, Surrey
Salary: GBP32,512 – GBP38,585 FTE, depending on experience
Job Type: Part Time – 36 hours per week, term time only + 4 weeks, Full time/Full year considered

Our Trust was formed in 2017 by schools within the Tandridge district. We are a cross-phase Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) currently comprising one secondary, five primary schools and one infant school. Three of our schools have nursery provision.

About the role
The HR Senior Advisor is responsible for ownership and delivery of core HR related tasks, ensuring the effective day to day operation of the Trust’s HR function, and the effective use of HR data to maximise efficiency.
Key Duties include:
* Working with the Director of People & Culture to develop and maintain HR strategies and policies to support the objectives of the Trust
* Advise and support Senior Leaders on all aspects of HR, providing guidance and support, staying up to date with relevant legislation and changes to education terms and conditions
* Ensure accurate and appropriate records of HR related issues including TUPE, grievance, absence management, performance management and disciplinary matters are maintained
* Oversee and manage HR operations across the trust to ensure consistency and efficiency, ensuring all contractual and legal requirements are met
* Complete statutory and audit returns as required
* Oversee end to end recruitment processes, including selection and on-boarding activities, developing our offer to become an employer of choice.
* Liaison with the Trusts HRIS provider and other organisations to ensure accurate staff pay and benefits arrangements. Working with the Trust Finance team to reconcile monthly payroll reports and resolving queries in a timely manner. Overseeing the implementation of annual pay awards and incremental increases
* HR file and contract maintenance, ensuring that HR systems are kept up to date and meet legislative requirements
* Line manage, guide, and develop the HR team to enable the function to provide an effective and successful HR service to schools within the Trust
* Plan workloads and resources to enable the team to deliver a quality service to all stakeholders
* Periodically review processes, looking for opportunities to streamline, automate, and provide efficiency

About you
* CIPD Level 5 or equivalent professional qualification
* Knowledge of HR principles, practices and procedures with experience of advising others in an education context
* Knowledge of current HR legislation including up-to-date knowledge of employment law and full working knowledge of relevant legislation including equal opportunities and data protection (GDPR)
* Ability relevant health and safety, equality and diversity, and other policies and procedures.
* Experience of maintaining business processes and systems.
