Role Title:  Senior Financial Accountant – Group Accounting

Location/Office Policy: 
Hybrid approach to working, which will include a blend of onsite (Dublin) and remote working

What is the Role:

This is a senior financial accountant position in a team which has a critical role in ensuring that the Group’s financial reporting is transparent and fully compliant with all statutory and IFRS requirements. It engages and collaborates with the business and finance on all key accounting matters.
The successful candidate will be part of this highly focused collaborative team, and experience in the role will offer
opportunities for further career advancement in the organisation. The role is being offered on a permanent basis.

 

Key accountabilities;

-Assist in the implementation of Group accounting policies, resolve accounting queries on new products, group projects, major business lines and organisational events and analyse the accounting for complex transactions.
-Support decision makers on strategic initiatives, proposing solutions that optimise the Group’s objectives while encompassing transparent financial reporting
-Support the development of the Group’s external financial reporting through reviews of new disclosures and the development of disclosures that are driven by the implementation of new or modified accounting policies.
-Play a key role in the timely preparation of the consolidated financial statements and related disclosures for annual financial report and half yearly financial report.
-Liaise with external auditors on technical accounting issues and external reporting requirements to enable an efficient and effective audit as appropriate
-Present to senior management as required on key technical issues.
-Support the accounting policies team in responding to comment letters from regulators (e.g. IAASA) and other industry fora on topical items.
