About the position
We are seeking a senior manager to serve as a strategic partner in our New Ventures (NV) team.
As the Finance business partner for New Ventures, you will play a crucial role in supporting the end-to-end innovation processes – supporting New Ventures’ growth through the provision of actionable financial and non-financial insights.
Key responsibilities
- Consolidate Monthly Business Reviews across NV portfolio, track actions, distilling key take aways for the leadership team.
- Own NV total tracking in internal team forums for Sell-in & Sell-out.
- Support Monthly NE Innovation growth meeting: NV tracking & support planning of topics for total NE with the PMO manager.
- Review, challenge and own on-going forecast from Commercial Managers at total NE NV level.
- Consolidate and own the tracking of annual plan (AOP) and “dream”. Understand & articulate key variances to original plan (or pivots).
- Own the strategic Plan for New Ventures
- Consolidate COGS for platform portfolio and track path to profitability exercise across projects.
- Own marketing spend, escalate issues and propose spend prioritisation
- Review macro intelligence & provide information to platform team
- Define and track size and growth of categories within the platform’s scope, flagging key competitive activities. Proactively Identify white space opportunities.
- Support growth team on innovation business cases
- Support the leadership team in creating external and internally facing presentations.
- Conduct analyses, including retailer-specific analysis and portfolio gaps.
- Autonomously manage improvement projects, such as automation initiatives
Qualifications
Hard Skills
- Work Experience: Proven progression in a commercial setting
- Knowledge: FMCG experience (marketing, commercial, sales, finance)
- Education: BSc/BA required; MSc preferred
