This role in summary

The Senior Finance Analyst will report to the Finance Manager Italy NSO, responsible for providing support to the Italy market. This role encompasses supporting all activity relating to financial planning and analysis including monthly and quarterly reporting, budgeting and forecasting and proactive analysis to drive commercial performance. The role requires interaction with all Italian and International colleagues as well as business leaders.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Review of monthly financial results from Italy market, including working with Commercial colleagues to understand key drivers of financial performance. Conduct in-depth analysis of P&L on a monthly basis and identify areas needing management attention in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports for management. Perform monthly and ad-hoc analysis as required such as volume and price analysis, product margin review
  • Support the preparation of the monthly reporting, providing commentary on key performance drivers for revenue, gross margin.
  • Active, key role in the Operating Plan and Monthly Forecast
  • Scope of Operating Plan/Forecast Submissions include revenue, volume and price, cost of sales.
  • Review, analyze and understand Commercial projections in order to provide business leaders with an overview of growth, budget and prior forecast variance drivers.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance and Commercial colleagues to ensure execution of the responsibilities related to planning and budgeting, forecasting and management reporting

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a financial analysis related role.
  • Understanding of financial planning processes, procedure, accounting process and internal controls.
  • Decision-making support experience in different aspects of financial management including financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and management reporting and analytics.
  • Ability to identify business issues and opportunities through financial analysis and reporting.
  • Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word are essential.
  • Working knowledge of SAP,
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, are a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail while keeping the global view
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in english

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics
  • Fluency (both written and spoken) in Italian and English is mandatory 
  • Analytical and solution oriented to resolve complex issues, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines (operating plan, forecasting and month-end close activities).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of management and the ability to engage remotely with Business leaders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders with the ability to influence and persuade through personal credibility, integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently and to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
