Learn more about Splunk careers and how you can become a part of our journey!Role:We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Engineering Manager to join our Mission Control team in Splunk Enterprise Security which is an analytics-driven SIEM that solves a wide range of security analytics and security operations use cases like incident triaging, investigations, response, etc. You will drive and implement mission control deliverables for the security roadmap. Enrich and empower others to their fullest potential.Working directly with customers is one of our core values. In this role, you’ll be able to meet customers as they share their experiences, get a first-person view of the state of the art Security Operations Centers. You will be responsible for ensuring your team can own the design, implementation and quality of services you deliver. You will drive process improvement and collaborate effectively with fast paced multi-functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.Responsibilities:
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical partners
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams, crafting technical strategy and roadmap
- Guide the team on making the right technical decisions on design, long term scalability and maintenance of the product
- Drive the roadmap execution
- Define project scopes, timelines and ensure alignment with the business objectives
- Inspire and empower the team
- Be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback and guide career development for team members
- Mentor the development team, ensuring the implementation of best practices, design principles and coding standards
Requirements:
- 3+ years as a Software Engineering Manager
- Proven experience in the IT industry (10+ years)
- Demonstrated communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written
- Consistent track record of building, mentoring and developing effective teams
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong sense of ownership
- Ability to prioritize in fast paced environment
