Senior Emulsion Polymer Chemist – Exciting Career OpportunityOur client is a multinational company looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Emulsion Polymer Chemist to join their R&D team in Limburg, Belgium.Our client is the world leader of Specialty Coatings and is looking for a candidate who can bring their expertise in emulsion polymerization to design and develop next-generation emulsion polymers for coatings, sealants, and adhesives applications.With the expansion of their business, they are building the European Resin Centre of Excellence, providing exceptional opportunities for personal and professional growth.As a constantly growing company with a goal of tripling revenues in 5 years, our client values commitment and loyalty and rewards it with job security and a competitive salary package.Responsibilities:

• Design and develop emulsion polymers for coatings, sealants and adhesives applications

• Execute experimental development of new emulsion polymers from early concept to commercialization

• Give support to product and manufacturing problems

• Formulation of next generation emulsion polymers * Present data at internal and external meetings

• Collaborate with R&D teams globally

• Report to the R&D Director

Profile:

• PhD or Master degree in polymer chemistry

• Minimum 10 years of experience within emulsion polymer synthesis

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of emulsion polymer synthesis

• Structure-property understanding for a variety of coatings, sealant and adhesive applications

• Innovation and creative problem solving skills

• Collaboration within the R&D team

• Proficiency with analytical and mechanical characterization of emulsion polymers

• Project planning

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Fluency in English
