A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join their growing team in Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to work with one of Ireland’s most established multidisciplinary consultancies, known for delivering complex infrastructure and environmental projects nationwide.

They provide expert services across ecology, planning, and environmental disciplines, supporting major projects in renewable energy, infrastructure, and conservation. Their ecology team is one of the largest in Ireland, delivering high-quality assessments and strategic advice across terrestrial, freshwater, and marine environments.

As a Senior Ecologist, you will lead and deliver ecological projects from inception through to completion. The Senior Ecologist will be responsible for project management, ecological surveys, reporting, and providing expert input into Environmental Impact Assessments and Habitats Directive Assessments. The Senior Ecologist will also mentor junior staff and liaise with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements for the role

* Proven experience working as a senior ecologist
* Strong understanding or ecological survey methods and legislation
* Full UK driving license
* Full right to work in the UK
* Must be living in or near Galway
