Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, is seeking a Senior Director of Finance to join our dynamic team. As the Senior Director, you will have the unique opportunity to oversee the end-to-end financial management of our Applied Analytical Technologies (AAT) business unit, a $500M global portfolio-based unit. This role, based in Bremen, Germany , offers the chance to collaborate with the Vice President/General Manager to strategically distribute capital and drive growth. Full relocation and sponsorship will be provided for the right candidate.

As an alternative to hiring in Bremen, Germany, we are also open to hiring someone remotely out of the UK or the Netherlands , but you would need to be willing to spend 4 days per week in Bremen, Germany .

In addition to weekly travel to Bremen, regular international travel (up to 25% per annum) will be required, including overnight stays.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive financial leadership, including P&L management

• Lead strategic and financial planning processes

• Drive detailed financial reporting and business metrics

• Prioritize investments and improve returns on investment

• Build and develop a diverse global finance team

Candidate requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (equivalent experience will be considered; MBA desired)

• 15+ years of finance experience with prior P&L management

• Prior experience within manufacturing a strong advantage

• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
