Are you a highly skilled scientist with experience in computational antibody and Variable Heavy Chain Domain (VHH) design, and a strong background in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis? Do you have a passion for developing solutions that will impact patients with diabetes and other chronic diseases? Additionally, do you have a strong understanding of antibody or VHH sequence, structure, and function, along with previous experience in antibody or VHH discovery and development in an industrial or academic setting?
If yes, we have exciting opportunities for you to join our team as a Senior Data Scientist! Apply today for life-changing career.
The Position
As a Senior Data Scientist in Antibody and VHH Design, your main tasks will include:
-Engaging directly to laboratory scientists in Recombinant Drug Discovery for optimization of workflows that integrate bulk and single B cell sequencing from in vivo immunization with in vitro antibody and VHH library design
-Driving innovative and creative solutions to design novel antibodies or VHHs in collaboration with other departments, while supporting research projects within the antibody and VHH area.
-Identifying potential liabilities and developability issues throughout the antibody discovery pipeline.
-Coordinating the development of the relevant computational infrastructure for ingesting, analysing, and exposing the information from sequencing and other data sources
-Utilizing existing tools or develop new ones to design and engineer antibody variants with enhanced functionality.
-Integrating experimental results with computational models to expedite the antibody discovery process.
-Working collaboratively with your colleagues to develop machine learning models that can be used to optimize antibody candidates.
-Staying up to date with the latest developments in computational biology and antibody/VHH design.
-Documenting and effectively communicating the discovery and innovation process to key stakeholders and managers.
-Encouraging, proposing, and participating in projects boosting the use of advanced computational techniques for antibody and VHH design.
The position requires documented expertise in the development of antibodies in a pharmaceutical or clinical environment, as well as the development of AI and deep learning methods . The candidate will use computational tools such as molecular modelling and simulations, sequence and structure analysis, and machine learning tools to design and optimize antibody and VHH candidates. In addition, you will use your strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members to achieve our goals.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
-Master’s degree within Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, or a related field
-At least 3+ years of experience in clinical or industrial antibody/VHH development. More experienced scientists are also encouraged . PhD preferred.
-Deep understanding of antibody or VHH sequence, structure, function, and their development in an industrial setting.
-Previous knowledge of NGS sequencing analysis and preferably RepSeq, antibody sequencing, or TCR sequencing is a must.
-Solid experience with relevant computational tools, including but not limited to Python programming, molecular modelling and simulations (Rosetta, Schrödinger, or similar), sequence analysis, and data analysis frameworks.
-Experience in usage of HPC solutions (AWS, Azure, or similar).
-Full proficiency in English, with knowledge of Danish being a plus.
As an individual, you possess good interpersonal skills, including effective communication, the ability to work in a team, and being goal oriented.
