As a Senior Data Platform Developer you will play a central role in defining and implementing scalable solutions for our business areas, helping us extend our existing platform into the Azure environment.Your tasks include:

  • Actively driving the development and integration of our cloud solutions and software products, with minimal guidance
  • Working closely with stakeholders to implement Azure Databricks in a way that enables domain autonomy coupled with broad connectivity.
  • Providing technical guidance to feasibility/scope assessments for the leadership team regarding the implementation and adoption of cloud technologies
  • Using behaviour-driven design principles to ensure a common understanding between stakeholders and developers on quality, security, and compliance.
  • Ensuring that the products you support are continuously improving in code, security, and reliability. These improvements should be spread across the teams you interact with, so that you lift the bar of our product standards.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Continuously develop your professional knowledge and skills through participation in external industry events such as seminars, conferences and publishing activities.
  • Share knowledge with your colleagues through demos, co-development, and sparring, ensuring that expertise is spread across the team to enable collaborative ways of working.

The position is based in the greater Copenhagen region, Denmark. Since you will be working in a global environment, you must expect occasional meetings to take place outside Danish working hours.Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with the following background:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, software development or a related field, with at least 3 years’ experience working with Azure cloud tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and working with modern build, test and deployment tools, ideally in large organisations as an internal colleague or consultant.
  • An understanding of infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code. Experience working with Terraform or other IaC tools.
  • Strong programming skills with Python and at least one other language. Experience writing and refactoring code.
  • Experience implementing Azure Databricks in a large organisation.
  • The ability to understand complex technical matters, form an educated opinion, and communicate with impact to a variety of stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.

You will join our team of architects, developers, analysts, and data engineers. BIDMA is a global, high performing department with a variety of technical, analytical, and multinational backgrounds. We are expanding our offerings to the global organisation, so we need extra colleagues to succeed with our journey and ambitious vision.

We do data acquisition and ingestion; data analysis and data engineering; evangelising the use of data and advanced analytics; and supporting data science users of our platform. We are cloud native and work on both AWS and Azure. We deliver solutions using Scrum methodology. We have built and are operating the enterprise data lake, data mesh and data science platform to support our vision, which is to be able to deliver world class management and enablement of data.The overarching goal is to use data to gain new understandings and insights, drive optimisations and create true value to Novo Nordisk and the patients we serve.
