The Position

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will join a team in which you will be driving the ongoing development and delivery of data solutions through our newly established and now evolving Customer Data Platform. You will be working in an Agile environment with regular sprint meetings and a daily focus on building new data solutions. In this role, you will be:

-Acting as technical lead for your assigned product team, making technical and strategic recommendations based on your strong knowledge of customer requirements and technological capabilities
-Leading the development, automation and ongoing improvement of data pipelines built in AWS
-Applying DevOps practices to setup efficient and robust deployment processes
-Collaborating with and guiding other data engineers
 

The position is based in Oerestad, Denmark.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, software development or a related field, with at least 5 years’ experience working with cloud technologies, preferably AWS as well as experience working with modern build, test and deployment tools, ideally in large organisations as an internal colleague or consultant. Since you will be working in a global environment, you must expect some meetings to take place outside Danish working hours.

Moreover, you have:

-Deep knowledge of Snowflake and AWS required 
-DBT (Data Build Tool) experience would be advantageous
-Strong programming skills with Python and SQL
-A good understanding of DevOps and agile development principles and experience in applying them in your daily work
-The ability to understand complex technical matters, form an educated opinion, and communicate with impact to a variety of stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.
-Experience with building data pipelines, creating complex data transformations, automatic data testing, building deployment flows.
-Fluent spoken and written English is a prerequisite.
-Experience working in a regulated industry is an advantage.
