WITHIN YOUR TEAM

You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out solutions to our wide range of customer segments – CPG Brands, Global Life Science customers & Global Packaging Manufactures and service providers. Successful candidate must have a good understanding of the data lifecycle (ingest, transform, curate, analyse, predict, govern) and the latest in data management, data architectures for SaaS applications and analytic technologies including AI, Graph and NLP technologies.

THIS JOB IS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO:

As Data Architect, you will define the data strategy, data architecture and oversee the implementation of this data architecture that will be the backbone for Esko’s software platform and AI capabilities. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Esko Software Platform data architecture. This includes ensuring data is stored, organised, and accessible in a way that meets the needs of the Esko’s current and future product roadmap and platform aspirations. The Data Architect will work closely with the Product management, R&D, DevOps, and business stakeholders to create and maintain data models and structures that support the organisation’s current and future technology landscape and innovation ambitions.

WITHIN YOUR ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Work with industry leaders, customers, product management and technical teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate data models and structures for the ESKO software platform

• Stay abreast of the industry trends shaping the ESKO business and associated data architecture requirements and best practices in data architecture, AI and Analytics

• Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with the Esko platform strategy

• Design and develop data architectures that support functional and nonfunctional domains covered by the ESKO product portfolio

• Work with the Data Science team to identify data needs and requirements around ML/AI use cases and incorporate then into the data architecture evolution.

• Develop strategies for data storage, organization, and access that meet the evolving needs of our software products

• Provide guidance and support to development teams in implementing data structures and models in line with platform strategy and SaaS standards and architecture patterns.

• Document and communicate data architecture design and implementation to stakeholders.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROFESSIONAL WHO HAS:

• Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, as well as the basics of columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualisation, unstructured data, and predictive analytics

• Strong understanding of predictive modeling, Machine learning, NLP and text analysis

• Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, as well as the basics of columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualisation, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.

• Design and development of AI driven applications

• Experienced with both relational and non-relational databases & familiarity with cloud-based data storage and data management architectures and platforms

• Problem solver with strong analytical skills

YOUR EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:

• At least 10 years of experience in data architecture, database design, or a related field with hands on experience designing data architectures for SaaS platforms with AI capabilities

• Master’s degree or Equivalent in computer science, information systems, or a related field

• Knowledge of systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches and requirements, design, and testing techniques

• Knowledge of programming languages Python, C/C++, Java, and Perl
