Job DescriptionThe Risk & Compliance team plays essential role in ensuring that Allegro’s operations are in line with the applicable laws in Poland and Europe. The team is responsible for monitoring adherence to internal policies, overseeing risk management, and managing business continuity. One of the team’s tasks is to identify significant legal acts at the national and European Union levels, translate legal text into the language of business and technology, and then implement necessary changes within the organization. Moreover, the Risk and Compliance team is crucial in creating and maintaining a positive company image. By enhancing its reputation, it helps to build trust among customers and business partners.What does this role involve?
- You will support all Allegro Group teams in compliance management through consultations and substantive support.
- You will oversee the implementation of legal acts in our entities, starting with the impact analysis, creating a project group and coordinating the entire process.
- You will be responsible for educational, informational, and training activities related to compliance management.
- You will ensure that policies/procedures comply with Polish and European legal regulations.
- You will assess the impact and ensure that the company’s activities are in compliance with applicable legal regulations, internal regulations, regulators’ recommendations, codes of good practices, and market standards.
- You will be responsible for providing opinions on draft legal acts.
- You will maintain and update internal documentation related to the compliance process.
- You will prioritize the implementation of mechanisms, processes, and procedures in the compliance management system.
- You will provide support for the compliance management process through external regulations and internal documentation.
- Together with the team, you’ll take part in creating a Compliance Universe for Allegro Group.

This is the right job for you if:
- Have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, including experience working with the business.
- Obtain a degree in law or a related field (audit, compliance, risk management)
- Have a solid understanding of compliance and adapting the company to legal acts.
- Have experience managing project teams and leading complex projects.
- Have experience in a role that involves the management of non-compliance risks.
- Are capable of good organization of working time and setting priorities.
- Have the ability to think analytically and innovatively, capable of analyzing legal acts and drawing conclusions that are valuable for the organization.
- Know the principles of the legislative process in Poland and Europe, and the most important legal acts regarding e-commerce and digital services.
- Can quickly assimilate new topics, they search for and synthesize information.
- Have a strong command of English and Polish, both written and spoken, at a minimum C1 level (a required prerequisite).
- Knowledge of the Czech language would be an additional advantage.
- Have strong communication skills, including the ability to converse with the business sector and create high-level messages.
