Copenhagen, DenmarkAbout the Job:Would you like to be part of an ambitious compliance team where you will play an important role in supporting the business meeting regulatory requirements in a dynamic and international environment – then we have the right opportunity for you in Saxo Bank.We are growing our team in Group Compliance and are looking for a competent and motivated Senior Compliance Officer to work within Regulatory Tax Reporting domain (e.g. Nordic/Regional Tax Reporting, IRS Tax Reporting, FATCA/CRS Reporting etc.).Group Compliance is part of Saxo Bank’s independent, second line of defence function. The function supports Saxo Bank Group’s Management in managing Saxo’s compliance risks while at the same time supporting prudent business development and growth. The function consists of several teams based in Denmark as well as in Saxo’s overseas subsidiaries, each of which has their own responsibility towards local supervisory authority. However, all compliance teams work closely together in order to achieve our common goals within the compliance area.You will become part of a very dynamic Group Compliance function where there is always a good, in-formal atmosphere, and you will be working at a place where it is fun to go to work.You will work independently as well as with colleagues from compliance teams in Saxo subsidiaries in a challenging and constantly developing business environment while at the same time growing both professionally and on a personal level. Depending on your profile you will drive activities across jurisdictions to ensure that Saxo Group is compliant with all relevant legislation, market practices and internal rules.Responsibilities:

  • Perform compliance risk assessments
  • Provide advice and compliance opinions to the business on managing compliance risks
  • Conduct compliance monitoring activities
  • Prepare compliance monitoring reports and contribute to regular compliance reporting to Saxo’s senior management
  • Participate in developing Saxo’s compliance framework

Your Profile :

  • Masters in law, accounting, audit, economics, finance or related field on similar level
  • Strong background from working in a compliance or audit function, supervisory authority, or have similar relevant work experience in Regulatory Tax Reporting
  • Experience from working directly or indirectly within the regulatory tax reporting area, such as client tax reporting to local Tax Authorities (e.g. Danish Tax Reporting, Swedish Tax Reporting etc), global withholding tax in Qualified Intermediary (QI) agreement, FATCA, CRS regulation and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills to review processes and controls put in place by first line of defence
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Power BI tool, SQL for data analysis and queries purposes
