Apply now and join us!Role waiting for youAs Senior Cloud Engineer, you’ll be acting as our team Tech Lead, and will work along with the Product Owner to support the team on analysis of solutions from a technical standpoint, and challenge features and roadmaps to enable better design, implementation, and support on cloud engineering aspects. Within this project, you will have chance to work with commercial software solutions for registering and analyzing histology and High-Content Screening imaging data.What you will do
- Infrastructure provisioning and trouble shooting in AWS, primarily using CI/CD pipelines and CDK/Terraform frameworks, while ensuring best practices of DevOps and IT Cloud Engineering are followed
- Be part of agile team which will be designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications
- Keeping overview of tasks happening in the team to identify opportunities for improvements, contribute to agile team user story definitions, and scoping of projects
- Mentoring on best practices when working together with the team to share learnings and experiences
- Collaborating with the scientific Product Owner about tech initiatives, being part on prioritizing from a technological perspective in the team
Skills we look forTo be successful in this role you have:
- At least bachelor’s degree within engineering, computer science or another relevant area, or equivalent work experience in working with major cloud computing services like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud (with expertise in at least one of them)
- Knowledge about IT cloud infrastructure (servers, network, databases, security), software development (at least basic scripting, Typescript, Azure DevOps, GitHub), and IT security knowledge to ensure the right access and permissions at the right time
- Good communication skills, with ability to translate business requirements from scientists into functional IT requirements
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and experience with in a fast-paced agile ways of working
- Strategic thinking to drive future-oriented decisions, with proactive approach, excellent communication, and collaboration skills, ability to engage with engineers, developers, architects, and scrum masters in a constructive, and collaborative way
