The Senior Cash Flow Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing the cash flow activities of the organization. This role involves forecasting cash flow, identifying trends, and providing strategic insights to enhance financial stability and operational efficiency. The analyst will work closely with finance and accounting teams, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and supporting the overall financial planning process.
Reporting to the FP&A Director , this pivotal role will oversee the weekly, monthly and annual cash flow forecast and actual of the full company dealing with all the main actors (AR, AP, Accounting and FP&A)
Role to be based in Palma or remotely in Madrid / Barcelona with frequent travels to PalmaKey responsibilities:
Cash Flow Management
Monitor and manage daily cash flow activities.
Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet the company’s operational and investment needs.
Coordinate with treasury to optimize cash positioning and banking relationships
Forecasting and Analysis:.
Develop and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts.
Analyze cash flow trends and variances.
Provide regular reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders..
Financial Planning:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and long-term financial plans.
Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data for cash flow projections.
Support scenario planning and stress testing to evaluate financial resilience.
Reporting and Compliance
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow reports.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline cash flow processes.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
Participate in system upgrades and automation initiatives
Collaboration and Communication
Liaise with internal teams (e.g., finance, accounting, operations) to ensure cohesive financial strategies.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Provide training and support to junior analysts and team membersThe skills we would love to see in your suitcase!
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or an equivalent field.
Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, CPA, or ACCA.
Preferred minimum of 5 years relevant accounting experience (candidates with 2 to 3 years’ experience in a Big 4 Audit Firm are at an advantage).
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
Demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic analytical planning, and execution.
Proactive attitude, positive work ethic, and a strong sense of accountability.
Effective communication skills.
A collaborative team player with meticulous attention to detail.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work autonomously within tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel to support various regional locations.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and oral
Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
