Cisco’s Strategic Innovation & Incubation organization leads Cisco Networking’s future direction and strategic innovation across switching, routing, wireless, compute, cloud solutions, mobility and optical businesses. What You’ll Do

The Cisco Networking Strategic Growth Initiatives team is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to develop strategic partnerships with targeted Communication Service Providers (CSP) and Global System Integrators (GSI) plus launch cross-Business Unit (BU) transformational offers and initiatives. The right candidate will own the management and execution of various cross BU-level strategic programs, leverage & evolve development lifecycle processes to establish initiative execution plans with milestone detail and deliverables. You’ll create solution briefs and concept proposals for executive level consideration. Requirements will vary as the initiative progresses along the development lifecycle. Therefore, a successful candidate will have experience in go to market strategy, software development, product development, software development, systems analysis, IT infrastructure & security technologies, and a flexible nature to deliver on priorities. This role requires significant cross-organizational partnership and alignment for strategy and execution. You will need to think and pivot between strategic and tactical actions with a persistent attention to detail.

What You’ll Need

  • Extensive experience in Business Development or similar roles, preferably supporting Product and Engineering organizations.

  • Solid experience with channel partnerships and other similar Routes to Market (RTM).

  • Deep understanding of Communication Service Providers (CSPs) and Global Systems Integrators (GSIs)

  • Proven track record of delivering successful results for complex growth initiatives, business transformations, or partnerships which involve large cross-functional teams in matrix environments.

  • Working experience in interacting with, presenting to, and influencing leadership at all levels.

  • Excellent organizational and program management skills with an ability to prioritize on their own, and delegate tasks when appropriate.

Desired skills

  • Broad understanding of Cisco’s portfolio of products and services, customer base, and organizational structure.

  • Experience with the basic architecture & operations of IT infrastructure & security

  • Experience in defining and implementing initiative success metrics towards quality goals.

  • Experience with common commercial & contractual structures.

  • Experience as a product manager or developer in software development.
