Wizards of the Coast, (‘WotC’) is one of the world’s largest publishers of adventure games, including Magic: The Gathering(R) Trading Card Game and Dungeons & Dragons(R) Roleplaying Games. Wizards of the Coast Poland is developing digital assets for WotC.

The Team

Wizards of the Coast is building a central technology team to create high-value software and processes in direct support of our development teams. The Role

Wizards is looking for someone who is interested in building out performant and efficient cloud solutions as the foundation to a modern development environment. They have experience in building scalable solutions in multi cloud and hybrid cloud environments and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments through source control solutions. Their primary job is to build and deploy cloud configurations to support our quality, build, and development environments.

This is an IC role requiring teamwork with members of our team, and with partner teams in Wizards and Hasbro for games and game engine apps. The person in this role will collaborate frequently with multiple teams including game and application engineers, account and backend services teams, and data engineers.

What You’ll Do:

-Design and build out secure cloud solutions for services and SDK development for game teams, including CI/CD, code analysis, and automated testing solutions.
-Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and maintain and deploy it from a source control environment.
-Create single pane of glass observability for all deployed solutions.
-Work with tools team to integrate developer tools with cloud solutions.
 

What You’ll Bring:

-Demonstrated experience as a backend engineer for game development.
-Experience with IaC platforms, terraform experience required.
-Familiarity with using game engines like Unreal or Unity in cloud build environments.
-Strong communication and collaboration skills to drive solutions across multiple teams.
-Familiarity with deploying solutions in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, AWS experience required.
-Ability to create secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions with data-based decision making.
