Job description
SEEKING: Senior Administrator/ Workstation ManagerWe are looking for a Workstation Manager who will be responsible for the management, administration and support of user workstation environments (laptop + industrial devices), primarily running Windows 11 for the company (9000 devices).Your role will be critical in ensuring that end-user computing systems are secure, performant, and operating optimally.You will also manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to ensure centralized and efficient administration of workstations.TASKS & RESPONSABILITIES► Workstation Administration and Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows 11 operating systems on user workstations.
- Manage updates and security patches to ensure system security and stability.
- Deploy and manage necessary software and applications for users.
► Group Policy Objects (GPO) Management:
- Create, configure, and maintain GPOs to standardize and secure work environments.
- Troubleshoot GPO-related issues and ensure compliance with company security policies.
- Collaborate with security teams to develop group policy management strategies.
► User Support:
- Provide level 2/3 support for workstation-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical incidents related to operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Train and assist users to enhance their productivity and understanding of IT tools.
► IT Asset Management:
- Track and manage the inventory of workstations and software.
- Participate in purchasing and renewing hardware and software licenses.
► Projects and Continuous Improvements:
- Participate in projects to improve IT systems and infrastructure.
- Propose and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and security of workstations.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS● Strong understanding of IS/IT deployment methodologies and best practices.● Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA).● Familiarity with system integration, data migration and IT infrastructure.● Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects, preferably within a joint venture context.● Strong skills in project planning, execution and monitoring.● Certification in project management is a plus.● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.● Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholder groups.Language :● English is the program language (oral & written), Spanish is a plusWE OFFER:· Full-time Freelance contract· Rate: €230/€280 per day + VAT (According to proven experience)· Long Term Project. Recurrence in Projects· Location: Alcobendas – Madrid (In person)
