Role Summary

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career with the experience of working with a global technology company. The Senior Accountant role will be part of the Colt Accounting team reporting to a Colt Accounting Manager. The main purpose of this job is to provide timely and accurate monthly accounting and management reporting information under IFRS and statutory reporting under local accounting standards.

This is a hybrid role that requires attendance in the Poznan office one day per week. This is a one year fixed term contract role.

The Main Responsibilities

-Monthly GL (General Ledger) accounting and management reporting responsibilities under IFRS
-Providing support to the annual IFRS audit and quarterly review processes as well as Local GAAP audits
-Preparation of statutory accounts
-Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, as per the Group timetable
-Supporting ERP migration projects and process improvement initiatives, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
-Close liaison with FP&A to assist with commentary against prior periods for key accounting areas
-Identifying efficiencies and automation opportunities. Working closely with team members, broader Finance teams and partners to deliver these improvements / the change management aspect of these initiatives

What We Look for in a Candidate

Minimum Requirements:-

3+ years of experience in GL (General Ledger) accounting within similar sized entities, or from an accounting firm

Microsoft Office – intermediate or advanced Excel

Strong knowledge of core accounting principles

Adaptable and flexible in dynamic working environment with a high pace of change

Proven process improvement experience

Commercially astute, with good planning / organising skills. High attention to detail with a motivation to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a desire to grow in a real team environment that has a flat structure

Preferred Requirements:-

IFRS or US GAAP reporting experience would be an advantage

Experience of SAP or other large ERP systems
