Job descriptionASD Learning Support Assistant – Bury – ASAPProspero Teaching are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support an alternative provision in Bury, on a full time basis, to start as soon as possible and will continue for the rest of the upcoming academic year.The organisation caters for students up to the age of 17. The students who attend here have Autism and/or SEMH. Most of the students also have an EHCP. The students will need support in engaging with their specialised provision. You will need to be able to build strong relationships with the students you work with and have a passion for supporting those with special needs.The ideal candidate:A recent graduate who wants work experience within Special Educational Needs
Experience of supporting students with additional needs in particular Autism
Experience with sensory or physical impairments
Experience of supporting those with complex needs in a care setting
Strong teamwork ethic
Driven, energetic and keen to pursue a career in education and special needs
reliable, consistent and caringThe role will consist of:Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN and complex needs
Creating a safe environment that allows children and other students have fun, learn and succeed
Academic supportPosition Details:Location Bury
Position Learning Support Assistant
Minimum daily rate GBP100 per day
Full time Monday Friday 8.30am -4pm
Start date – October 24
End Date- July 25To be considered for this role, you will have to register with Prospero Teaching and complete a Child & Adult DBS which is on the update service, unless you already have one.

Safeguarding training issued in the last 12 months (essential)
