www.buckscollegegroup.ac.ukAbout the roleAs a SEND Campus Co-ordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that all our students with special educational needs thrive and meet their full potential. Providing them with skills and support in their learning journey.As SEND Campus Co-ordinator, you will –

• Manage day-to-day operations of the SEND Support provision on campus.
• Manage and support a team of dedicated SEND advocates, Inclusion Mentors and coaches.
• Work with the SENCO and the team to ensure that students’ needs are regularly reviewed and that students are supported to have greater independence.
• Collaborate with the SENCO, local authorities, parents, and feeder schools, to ensure a proactive approach to the special educational needs assessment process and smooth transition into College for students
• To work with curriculum areas on delivering high quality individualised programmes to learners within the College environment that empower them to develop strategies to overcome their difficulties and promote independence.

About youFormal Qualification
*Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) in Maths and English

• Level L3 qualification in Autism
• Level 5 qualification in a Autism or willing to complete in the first year of employment
• Level 3 Award in Teacher training

*Level 5 Teacher Training or willingness to work towardsKnowledge

• Working knowledge of strategies and resources used in SEND
• Working knowledge of Post 16 education
• An understanding of, and demonstrable commitment to, Safeguarding Children and Young People and Vulnerable Adults
• A good practical knowledge of EHCP and the consultation process
• A good knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice

Experience

• Sound experience of working in SEND
• Work experience in an educational setting
