Location: Nelson (BB9)
Salary: Dependent on experience with SEN allowance
Contract Type: Temporary – PermanentJoin an OFSTED ‘Good’ rated primary school dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to children with special educational needs. Their Royston site is renowned for its inclusive environment, innovative teaching approaches, and dedicated staff who work tirelessly to ensure every student reaches their full potential.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs in both individual and group settings.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support teachers in creating and adapting learning materials to suit the needs of SEN students.
• Assist with the physical, emotional, and social needs of students, promoting independence and self-esteem.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective strategies for student success.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
• A genuine passion for supporting and inspiring children with SEN.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
