Job descriptionTHE ROLEProspero Teaching are working with a friendly and welcoming SEN High School in Tamesdie who are looking for dedicated 1:1 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join their team. There are x3 roles available and each one requires a 1:1 specialist to work closely with a child with Autism and significant speech & language difficulties. The students age range from 11 – 19 years old. The positions will begin as a long-term contract, with the potential to become permanent and will at least last for the full academic year.The school are looking for someone who has worked closely supporting children with Autism previously and who have Speech and Language delays. Personal care may be involved in the role. The students may display some challenging behaviour and social difficulties.The school environment is culturally diverse with a welcoming atmosphere, working from a creative curriculum to make children’s learning fun and engaging.As a new member of experienced support staff, you will be given access to a range of CPD opportunities. Your day will involve liaising regularly with the class teacher to provide consistent support.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – Tameside
• Position – 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
• Contract or position start date – ASAP
• Full time/part time – Full Time, Long Term

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £58
• Provide two professional child/education related references
