Job descriptionProspero Teaching are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our fantastic local primary schools. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Support students with special educational needs.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students
About you:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.
Location – SouthamptonPosition – Teaching Assistant

Hours – 8:30am-3:15pm (hours may vary)Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
