Are you looking for a flexible job where you can choose your own hours and workload?GSL Education are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in local schools in Basingstoke. This position is on a 0-hour contract, allowing you the freedom to work as much or as little as you want. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher during lessons, collaborate with other support staff, and work one-on-one with special needs students. We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting diverse learners and expertise working with students who have Special Educational Needs.To excel in SEN Teaching Assistants role, it would be beneficial if you:

• Have prior experience in a school setting.
• Have experience working with children or adults with learning difficulties such as ADHD, SEMH, and ASC.
• Possess a solid understanding of Special Educational Needs or be willing to learn.
• Can demonstrate a clear understanding of the Teaching Assistant’s role in a special need’s environment.
• Are capable of engaging students in their learning and supporting their social, emotional, and personal development.
• Develop an engaging learning environment that inspires all students to reach their full potential.
• Advocate for and support the growth and development of each student in your care.

The ideal candidate for SEN Teaching Assistants role should be:

• Caring and enthusiastic.
• Resilient and optimistic.
• Confident in managing challenging behaviour.
• Show a strong commitment to safeguarding.

To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you should:

• Have the right to work in the UK.

• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.

• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
