Job descriptionSEN Teaching/Learning Support Assistant Required in Brixton (South London) – Immediate StartProspero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching/Learning Support Assistant to join an Ofsted “OUTSTANDING” Special School (age 9 – 19) in the Brixton area, who specialise in supporting students with needs including Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.The position will involve providing classroom support to students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, this will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately.Daily Rate: £100Location: Brixton Hill (SW2)Contract Type: 5 days a week (Full-Time)Start Date: ImmediateDuration: Long TermThe successful applicants will have:

• Previous experience working with Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.
• Previous experience managing challenging behavior.
• Ideally experience working with children and/or young people.
• Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.

The role will consist of:

• Offering support to the class teacher.
• Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
• Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
• Building good student – teacher rapport.
