Job descriptionSEN Teaching Assistant – Preston:Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support children at a school that caters for complex needs. This a full time position to start in January.This role requires an individual who is very experienced within their field and has previously supported children with complex needs.The Role:

  • Providing 1-1 and group support to children
  • Positively managing behaviour
  • Assisting with learning activities

Position Details:

  • Location: Preston
  • Position: SEN TA
  • Hours: 8:30am-4pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary/Long-term
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £90 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: Jan 2025
  • End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN, in particular Autism
  • Up to date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desired

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
