Package DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a SEN TeacherThe successful candidate will:

• Plan, teach, and assess a range of subjects and learning to support students’ progression
• Work as part of the team to deliver lessons, support positive behaviour, and to make students feel safe so that they can learn and achieve
• Follow whole school systems to teaching and learning. We will support you with a full induction, we are a very supportive team
• Support with report writing, help to expand our curriculum documents as part of a team, data collection, and clearly communicate with all stakeholders
• Create engaging and safe learning environments

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
• At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
• QTS/QTLS is advantageous

At Unity College:A warm welcome to Unity College. We are looking for enthusiastic and resilient teachers with prior experience of working in SEND settings to join our ever-expanding team. We offer a bespoke educational provision in a nurturing environment for our secondary age students (Y7 – post 16) who are all in care of the local authority. We operate on two sites. The main site is in West Wycombe and our satellite nurture base is in the outskirts of Aylesbury. Both school sites offer safe and caring spaces for students to express feeling, emotions and anxieties that can be barriers to learning. We also offer specialist vocational learning spaces, designated teaching rooms and outdoor learning opportunities.

In order to meet the diverse needs of the students at Unity College we ensure an adequate staff to pupil ratio, with typically a class comprising of no more than 4 pupils.
