We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).4DWW will be rolled out within our school, when we have a full complement of staff, and within the next year – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join us #teamOFG!Job title: SEN TeacherLocation: Brookthorpe Hall School, GloucesterHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 4.30pmSalary: £36,750.00 – £42,000.00 per annum dependant on experience/qualificationsContract: Permanent; Term Time onlyAs part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teacher to join our close-knit team at Brookthorpe Hall School, part of Options Autism.About the RoleWe are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join our educational team and to help deliver an outstanding curriculum, motivate the pupils and achieve positive outcomes for our young people.The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom. You may have specialist knowledge and experience of working with autistic spectrum disorder or pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Or you may have experience of working across both specialismsJob Summary and DutiesWorking as an SEN Teacher for Brookthorpe Hall School, you will deliver fun educational based learning which is tailored to each of our pupils to ensure they will achieve positive results. The role will be challenging but rewarding, working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference. You will be expected to lead the teaching of and co-ordinate flexible, person-centred programmes of study for individuals and groups of pupils. You will be able to demonstrate a practical, hands-on approach to teaching and be prepared to go above and beyond for the young people we support.Following a thorough induction programme, your duties will include:
