As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored educational programs that meet the unique needs of each student. Your expertise will help create an engaging and supportive learning environment, fostering both academic and personal growth.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Deliver Individualised Lessons: Create and implement lesson plans tailored to the specific needs and abilities of students with special educational needs.
  • Foster an Inclusive Classroom: Establish a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence and encourages learning.
  • Assess and Monitor Progress: Continuously assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to ensure each student achieves their potential.
  • Collaborate with Support Staff: Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to deliver a comprehensive educational experience.
  • Engage with Parents and Guardians: Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and involving them in the educational process.
  • Contribute to IEPs: Develop and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring all educational and developmental needs are met.
  • Participate in Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation or significant experience in SEN.
  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration.
