SEN Secondary Teaching AssistantLocation: England, Greater London, ClaphamJob Type: Permanent, Full-Time hoursSalary: £85 – £110 Per dayJob Duties:The SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant will support students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting. Duties include assisting students with their learning activities, providing one-to-one support, implementing individual education plans, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.Required Qualifications:A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs is required. Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach are essential.Education:A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in education or special educational needs is required.Experience:Prior experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is preferred.Knowledge and Skills:Understanding of special educational needs practises, ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents, strong organisational skills, and a passion for supporting the educational development of students with special needs.Preferred Qualifications:Additional qualifications in areas such as autism awareness, behaviour management, or Makaton training would be advantageous.Working Conditions:The role involves working within a school environment, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
