SEMH Teaching AssistantProspero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a fantastic ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated SEMH School based in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.The school is a specialist setting for boys aged 10-16 with a range of complex needs to include: SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), Autism & ADHDYou will be working with an excellent team and joining a fantastic provision where you can make a difference, playing a key role in the development of students.The successful candidate will be working with pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education and with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) The school offers a great vocational curriculum allowing students to express themselves amongst practical-work and creativity.Contract Details for Teaching Assistant:

• Location: Chandlers Ford, Hampshire
• Position: Behaviour Teaching Assistant
• Type of work: Teaching Assistant, 1:1 / Small-Group Support
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract type: Temp/Perm
• Full time/part time: Full-Time
• Minimum rate of pay: £90.00-100.00 per day

Experience, Training and Qualifications needed for Teaching Assistant role:

• Previous Teaching experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
• Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
• A passion for working with children with SEMH.
• Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
• You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
• GCSE: English & Maths / Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Qualifications

To be eligible you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
