Full-Time Teaching Assistant (TA) – Pupil Referral Unit – BournemouthAre you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH)? If so, we want to hear from you!About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team at a well-established SEN school in Bournemouth. As a TA, you will provide vital support to students with a range of learning needs, helping them to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis, assisting with learning activities and ensuring engagement
  • Help students with personal care, mobility, and daily living tasks where required
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning experiences
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team
  • Work closely with parents and other professionals to support the holistic development of students

About You:

  • Previous experience in supporting students with SEN or SEMH is desirable but not essential
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude with a strong desire to support children’s individual learning needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) are an advantage, but not essential
