Job descriptionSEMH Teaching Assistant – Burnley – October startProspero Teaching are looking for a Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience to work in an alternative provision in Bury. This position is to start in September, will be ongoing for the whole of the upcoming academic year until July 2025.This position will be ideal for a teaching assistant with SEMH experience who is looking to gain some more experience in an alternative provision who cater for students from aged 11 to 16.You will be working with small groups or perhaps on a 121 basis with pupils. For this particular position you are required to hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.Contract/position details:

• Location Burnley

• Position SEMH teaching assistant

• start date October 2024

• Likely Duration the whole of the academic year until July 2025

• Contract type temporary

• Full time

• Minimum rate of pay GBP95 per day

Experience, Training and qualifications:

• Experience working with students with SEMH

• GCSE English and Maths grade C or ‘4’ & above

• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided)

• Up to date Prevent training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however training can be provided)

• Up to date behaviour management training (desirable, however training can be provided)

To be eligible you must have/be:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK

• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

• Provide a minimum of two references covering the last 2 years
