The Licensing Account Manager (AM) represents Corteva Agriscience as the primary business contact with independent seed companies and national/regional retail accounts to advance Corteva trait and genetics licensing business, meet financial objectives, drive impactful business relationships and establish and capitalize on new markets and technologies.

Role Summary

The Seed Licensing Account Manager will support the growth of our Seed and Traits licensing activities in the EMEA region, by maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new prospect licensees. They will be also involved in coordinating the management of our agreements, the production planning, the parent seed order and delivery, the royalty reporting of our licensees.

Role Responsibilities

  • Be the operational contact for our licensees in order to:

  • Establish trust with licensees that Corteva is a viable long-term, reliable supplier of traits and genetics.

  • Create the SAP set up and update it whenever needed for any new or existing licensee

  • Understand customer needs and provide feedback to the organization on product performance, program effectiveness, and competitive activity.

  • Plan and coordinate the seed trials shipment in relation with SPD and GSO

  • Coordinate the Parent seed order and delivery

  • Work closely with the Seed License Manager and legal for updating and archiving the license agreements.

  • In conjunction with business leader, develop longer view business plans that include market share growth, forecasting, introduction of competitive innovation and potential impact to Corteva strategies.

  • Support the collection of sales reports from our licensees and coordinate the invoicing process.

  • Get involved in the forecasting and accruing of royalty revenues and expenses.

Qualifications

Role Requirements (Must-Have Skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other related field preferred with demonstrated knowledge of agricultural markets

  • Proven abilities to Sell, negotiate and influence

  • Effective and efficient communication.

  • Build/maintain strong relationships with key strategic customers, key industry/market influencers and internal partners and teammates

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers at all levels (management to entry-level roles)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and operate within a budget

  • Able to work with a variety of people.

  • Creative thinking and problem solving aptitude

  • Organized and data management discipline.

  • Good understanding and practice of our SAP system.

  • Be proactive and propose ways of improvement.

  • Willingness to travel when required

  • Fluent in English with additional proficiency in German or French.
