As a Group Security Operations Manager (SOM) you will be accountable and responsible for the Security Management System across the group relating to your area of responsibility, as well as being regional single points of contacts for geographical sections of the globe ‘Divide the World’. Whilst having a specialism, you will also need to have a broad understanding of the other SOM roles and be able to use your gained and taught security knowledge and experience to support the team and wider business to deliver industry leading security provision.You will be continually be supporting source markets, business unit and destination teams, as well as joint venture partners and 3rd party entities in making effective security decisions that benefit the group. The aim of doing things once where possible that fits the diverse nature of TUI is the ultimate goal, so partnership and collaboration skills are key.TUI strive to be the best in what we do and that goes for security too. We are looking to generate security standards that not only support expansion, commercial growth and legal compliance, but also become a standard that the industry can utilise as an industry level gold standard. The TUI standard.This role can be based from either our Rijswijk or Stockholm office. Closing date for applications will be Tuesday 25th June.ABOUT THE JOB

  • Conducting country security risk assessments of existing and potential destinations
  • Owning the destination level risk matrix for Hotels, Excursions, Activities and Transfers
  • Working with TUI Source Markets and business unit areas to support in the monitoring, evaluation and interpretation of data supplied by the relevant government agency or publicly issued travel advice
  • Monitoring global security related events and analysing security threats and incidents
  • Actively influence the development of industry standards for Excursions, Activities and Transport in destination
  • Having accountability for and developing the Security Management System in relation to Risk Assessment, Travel advice, Excursions, Activities and transport
  • Develop and Support training as needed in destination for TUI MM colleagues, DMC colleagues and Shore-ex colleagues
  • Act as Group security SPOC for TUI MM 3rd party relationships for security matters, including but not limited to security crisis situation, 3rd party clients (DMC/activities partners/strategic partners/tour operators)
  • Act as contact for TUI MM alongside ‘Divide the world’ SPOC
  • Refine the company’s regional geopolitical risk perspective and provide analysis of global security incidents working with SOM Intelligence
  • Maintain an awareness of geopolitical/risk trends affecting the tourism sector
  • Communicate relevant strategic analysis and forecasting to key stakeholders
  • Interact with a wide range of stakeholders, from law enforcement and intelligence agencies to embassies, source markets and destinations.
  • Advising stakeholders of all levels on relationship management with home governments and agencies in order to maximise opportunities to have open discussion over travel advice changes and business impact reviews
  • Demonstrated body of work regarding security/geopolitical issues
  • Work in collaboration with business travel security lead & Global mobility in relation to WorkWide risk

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven track of experience in hotel audit management (RS)
  • Proven experience in security management or proven understanding of applying security management principles
  • Understanding of geopolitics and an understanding of how a security environment can affect tourism business operations in a destination
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong, practical, organisational and analytical skills
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across source markets, business units and with external providers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal confidently and effectively with senior management and external organizations in the English language
  • Industry knowledge, including specifically on security risks as well as general risk assessment
  • Ability to manage own workloads and with minimal supervision
  • A flexible and positive approach to work with a willingness to undertake business travel and spend nights away from home
  • Ability to manage and prioritize their own work plan in order to meet business requirements, tight deadlines, either working remotely, or in the occasional office .
  • A proactive approach with the ability to multi-task, adapting priorities as situations arise.
  • Computer literate in MS Office applications.
  • Ensuring that all opportunities to utilise technology are taken in order to maximise time and efficiencies
  • Willingness to develop, broaden and grow
