Security Services are recruiting for a temporary Security Administrator (Maternity Cover) to help and assist our students, staff and visitors each and every day. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a professional, fast-paced environment at our campuses, where your skills will be valued and developedIf you’re passionate about delivering high-quality customer service, we’d love to hear from you.Objectives:To provide exceptional administration service, including financial management, ensuring all University users experience a warm and professional experience.Uphold a high standard of stakeholder care whilst managing enquiries promptly and accurately.Creating and maintaining positive internal and external relationships with all University stakeholders.Work with management to achieve the University’s goals and objectives.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Assistant Director of Security Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality administration services with a strong emphasis on professional customer care.You will act as the first point of contact for all administration relating to the department, ensuring efficient and effective interactions on every occasion. A well-organised approach to workloads is essential to maintain smooth operations, while continuously striving to enhance satisfaction for all stakeholders.Assisting in various tasks, providing support to the departmental team as needed, and fostering productive working relationships across University departments.Proactively deal with and report, any issues of concern.Present a smart and professional appearance and demonstrate excellent communication skills.Requirements:The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with proven experience within an administration department inside a large organisation, or similar role.They will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks efficiently. Educated to GCSE level (Grades A-C), the candidate will also demonstrate a solid track record in customer service, problem-solving, managing priorities, deadlines and enquiry handling rolesExperience in addressing enquiries with professionalism, a proactive attitude, and understanding is essential, along with excellent oral communication skills and a professional telephone and IT system manner.To have knowledge working with Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Other IT system knowledge would also benefit i.e. Oracle, LibCal, Halo usage.To be able to work in a fast past environment whilst remaining calm and respectful.Have a proven track record in similar administration roles. Additional customer service care training would be an advantage.A period of handing over responsibilities and role familiarisation will take place.
