- Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, providing targeted support to students across various subjects.
- Individualised Learning: Work closely with students who require additional help, offering one-on-one support and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive classroom environment, managing behaviour in line with school policies and fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students.
- Resource Preparation: Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources, ensuring that lessons run smoothly and efficiently.
- Student Welfare: Support the social and emotional well-being of students, acting as a mentor and providing guidance as needed
Contract Details
- Location – Southampton, Hampshire
- Position – Secondary Teaching Assistant
- Contract or position start date – ASAP
- Contract or position end date (if applicable) – Ongoing
- Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temp to Perm
- Full time/part time – Full time
- Minimum rate of pay – £13.09 per hour
- Hours – Monday – Friday 08:30am – 15:30pm (No weekends)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Level 2 or 3 Qualification
- Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a UK school.
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided).
