Salary: £30,000 – £46,525 (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: January 2025Job Type: Part/Full TimeAre you an enthusiastic about English literature & language and passionate about teaching?GSL Education is in search of an energetic English Teacher to join a local secondary school in Southampton, starting in January 2025Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
• Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to excel.
• Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make English literature and language studies relevant and captivating for students.
• Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
• A positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for literature and language, promoting respectful behaviour among students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English; a master’s degree is a plus.
• PGCE/QTS/QTLS
• Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
• Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
