Learning Support AssistantA Secondary School in Hemel Hempstead are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their team on either a full-time basis. They are seeking individuals who are empathetic, driven and most importantly passionate about working with young people.The role will entail working on a 1:1 or small group basis with children aged 11-16 to support them with the aim of improved engagement with their learning. You may support children with Special Educational Needs/ Disabilities (SEND) or Social Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH) or simply support the teacher to be able to deliver their lessons effectively.Whilst experience of working in an education setting may be beneficial, it is not essential. Prior candidates who were successful had backgrounds in: Youth Work, Care/ Hospital experience, Art/ Creative backgrounds, Psychology/ Sociology Graduates. This list is not exhaustive, so please get in touch if you are keen to kickstart your career in education. You do not need to hold any formal teaching/ learning support qualifications, but you must feel comfortable supporting students with their learning.Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm – Mon to FridayStart: ASAPThe successful applicant will:
