About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrum Master to lead agile teams in the dynamic banking domain. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality financial products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile methodologies, exceptional communication skills, and domain expertise in banking.
Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Facilitation:
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews).
  • Ensure teams adhere to Agile principles and best practices.
  • Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and supporting team productivity.
  • Team Empowerment:
  • Guide, mentor, and coach teams to become self-organized and cross-functional.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to prioritize and manage backlogs effectively.
  • Ensure alignment of project goals with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting sprint goals.
  • Track and resolve project blockers and dependencies promptly.
  • Reporting & Metrics:
  • Provide visibility into team progress through clear and concise reporting (e.g., burn-down charts, velocity metrics).
  • Utilize tools like Jira and Confluence to track project progress and documentation.
  • Domain Expertise:
  • Apply knowledge of banking processes, regulations, and trends to guide teams effectively.
  • Support teams in delivering secure, scalable, and compliant financial solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in the banking domain.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional agile teams.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks.
  • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Certifications:
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with banking APIs, automation testing tools (e.g., Postman, Selenium).
  • Experience in DevOps practices.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
