If yes, you could be the Scientist that we are looking for in the Oral Drug Product Development team in Måløv. More specifically, we are looking for a skilled colleague who shares our ambition to contribute to the development of oral solid dosage forms containing proteins or small molecules, as well as to the digitalization of our current systems.The positionThe Novo Nordisk pipeline is growing with protein drug candidates and with new small molecule drug candidates We are therefore looking for a colleague with passion for the development of solid oral dosage forms with a focus on bioavailability enhancement and enabling technologies, to bring these candidates forward in development.As responsible for developing manufacturing processes for new oral drug products, you will prepare, execute, and evaluate development studies, In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will ensure the transition of new oral projects from research towards clinical trials. You will supervise the technicians with the practical work in our facilities and are expected to be hands on when implementing new equipment and technologies, having optimisation and digitalization in mind. Furthermore, you will be responsible for documentation of the developed manufacturing processes for transfer to GMP.With your experience from the pharmaceutical industry or academia, you represent the department in multi-disciplinary (CMC) project groups. You work closely with experts and stakeholders from a wide range of areas. In addition, you will also plan project activities in close collaboration with the project- and line management.Your QualificationsWe expect you to:

  • Have a Master’s degree within Life Sciences (e.g., Engineering, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Life Sciences) or similar.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience with the pharmaceutical industry or academia.
  • Know pharmaceutical formulation, e.g., with an interest in drug delivery and enabling technologies.
  • Preferably, you have experience with formulation and/or process optimisation of solid dosage forms.
  • Preferably, you enjoy working in a dynamic and inclusive environment, where teamwork is at the top of the agenda.

On a personal level, you are proactive at taking responsibility for your tasks. You set realistic deadlines and reach them together with the rest of the team. You have ability to express own ideas and drive tasks is desired and a strong plus. We expect you to have excellent collaboration skills and great communication skills while focusing on stakeholder management.About the departmentIn Emerging Products & Outsourcing, we develop drug products ensuring that we bring best-in-class treatments to the market. The department consists of +40 dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues organised in 2 teams. A broad and exciting range of process technologies for development of oral solid dosage forms are available in-house.The ambition is to develop drug product formulations and processes for oral delivery. Furthermore, we develop processes and manufacture tablets for non-clinical testing in oral drug product projects.
