This position is in Bohumil – Jevany. 

The position 

As a Scientist you will be leading process related activities at the Bohumil with special focus on Upstream process (Media preparation, Cell culture and Fermentation). You will proceed according to valid documentation, conform to relevant GMP requirements and to the supervisor’s instruction and conform the Internal Policies. You will conform to the rules of health and safety at work, environmental health and safety and fire protection. You will maintain the required qualification, participate in initial and recurrent training and re-training. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

-Actively handle requirements of internal and external customer. Propose and implement optimization procedures within appropriate position. 
-Ensure process and product quality consistency. 
-Increase, accumulate and leverage Process and Product understanding (Upstream and Media Preparation). Identify and understand process/ product trends. Create and approve the Manufacturing process& controls in CTD relevant documents. 
-Lead and coordinate process troubleshooting with systematic problem solving. Lead process improvement activities at Bohumil across Bohumil teams (new technologies, yield in-crease, etc.). Lead and coordinate Process Transfer activities to Bohumil across teams at Bohumil. 
-Plan, design, and evaluation process testing at USP, MP. Review and approve of all process relevant GMP documents (e.g. Changes, CAPA, deviations). 
 

Qualifications 

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: 

-Minimum a Master of Science degree in Chemistry, preferably in Bioengineering, Chemical engineering, chemical technology or related discipline. 
-Experience as a Technologist, Bioprocess Engineer, Upstream technologist/Specialist, Bioprocess Specialist, Fermentation Specialist. We are open to see fresh graduates with specific degree mentioned above. 
-Ability to commute to Bohumil daily.  
-Fluent English and Czech language. 
-No make-up, jewelry, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.
