Research, 3 years postdocEriksholm Research Centre is seeking an industrial postdoc candidate to join our scientific team. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled candidate to carry out independent research within multisensory communication behaviour. Your work with us will have the potential to provide ground-breaking advantages in user benefits in hearing healthcare.Eriksholm Research Centre carries out peer-reviewed academic research which keeps Oticon at the forefront of applied research. Eriksholm has research facilities that include EEG, Ear-EEG, motion capture, eye-tracking, fNIRS, speech testing, a large anechoic chamber with speaker array, and a fully supported clinic and audiological facility. Being part of a large hearing healthcare company, Eriksholm offers the opportunity to bring research ideas closer to impact the life of people with hearing loss.About the positionWe are looking for a candidate to join our team of scientists at Oticon, working alongside our academic partners, to generate new audiological insights for future attention-steered hearing aids.The project focuses on collecting and integrating multimodal physiological measures from hearing aid users to improve auditory attention tracking in both laboratory and real-world settings. The candidate will develop sensor fusion algorithms and machine learning models to dynamically combine relevant information from different sensors based on the user’s listening environment. Additionally, the project aims to evaluate how multi modal attention tracking algorithms can enhance listener satisfaction for hearing aid users.The candidate’s responsibilities will include working with Electroencephalogram (EEG) and eye-tracking techniques, managing on-site research visits with hearing aid users of varying hearing abilities, applying attention decoding methods to the collected data, and disseminating the results. The candidate will publish findings in leading scientific and clinical journals and engage with the research community at conferences and workshops.This postdoctoral opportunity is funded by the Industrial Postdoc program of the Innovation Foundation of Denmark and is open to candidates who received their PhD within the last five years. The position is a collaboration with the Centre for Acoustic Signal Processing Research (CASPR), Section on Artificial Intelligence and Sound (AIS) in the Department of Electronic Systems at Aalborg University, Denmark. The primary workplace for the candidate will be Eriksholm Research Centre, Snekkersten and Oticon Headquarters, Smørum, although some work may also be conducted at Aalborg University.The ideal candidate
