Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Scientific Affairs Sr Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a global scale by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges.
As the Sr. Manager, Global Scientific Affairs, you will be responsible for meeting with customers, KOLs, scientific committees, and regulatory bodies to identify market trends and macro-environmental dynamics that affect the microbiology industry. Your insights will improve understanding of our company’s innovative pipeline and products. You will also be responsible for driving market and customer information through the establishment of a scientific community for microbiology products in clinical, food, and pharma industries.
Responsibilities:
Initiate and drive advisory boards, including identifying KOLs, budget, and event logistics
Analyze scientific literature and provide insights for market trends and objection handling
Gather, summarize, and make recommendations on key market trends for product management and R&D
Participate and represent the company in scientific committees
Facilitate knowledge sharing among different groups
Develop global medical and scientific collaborations
Drive advocacy through scientific congresses and evidence dissemination
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in life science, preferably microbiology, business, or related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Equivalent work experience in industry preferred; MBA is also desirable.
Strong experience in commercial, technical sales marketing, product management, sales, and/or lab operations
Experience working with regulatory bodies
Experience with new product launches and working with commercial organizations
Experienced in working in a highly matrixed global organization
